അവള്‍ അവിടെ കിടന്നുറങ്ങി. കടയ്ക്കുള്ളിലായാലും പുറത്തായാലും
ഒരുപോലെത്തന്നെ. എങ്കിലും പുറത്തുകിടക്കുന്നതിനേക്കാള്‍ അന്തസ്സ് അകത്തു
കിടക്കുന്നതായതുകൊണ്ട് അങ്ങനെ ചെയ്തു. ഒന്നുറങ്ങി. വേദന
കൊണ്ടുണര്‍ന്നപ്പോള്‍ മണിക്കൂറുകള്‍ കഴിഞ്ഞിരുന്നു. വീണ്ടും ഉറക്കം. വേദന
ഉണര്‍ത്തിയ ഉറക്കം.
വയറുവേദനയാവും; സാധാരണ ശല്യത്തിനെത്തുന്നത്. ഒരിക്കല്‍ക്കൂടി
മയങ്ങിനോക്കി.
ഉണര്‍ന്നപ്പോള്‍, പൊക്കിളിനു ചുറ്റും അസംഖ്യം തേളുകള്‍.............
